The wrestling team competed in district matches on Feb. 5 at the Lewisville High School arena and placed 4th as a team. Senior Spencer Griffin, freshman Brandon Rosales, sophomore Joshua Cantrell and juniors Cain Green, Kason Mitchell, AJ Lovett, Gonzales Montes advanced to regionals. On the girls team, junior Stephanie Negrete placed 1st individually. Regionals will take place at Haltom High School on Feb. 10 and 11.
Wrestlers line up for the pre-game weigh-in. Weigh-ins are held to ensure that the wrestler stays within the limits of their weight class and are used to organize match brackets.
