16 and in quarantine
By now, everyone has heard of COVID-19 and been affected by it in some way. For sophomore Remy Wieber, it was her 16th birthday plans that had changed. Because of the novel coronavirus and social distancing rules, Wieber had to cancel her 16th birthday party. Luckily, her friends planned a surprise caravan to wish her a happy birthday.
“I had talked to Remy earlier and she told me that she didn’t even know if she would be able to have the birthday dinner that she usually has with her parents,” sophomore Paige Zagumny said. “She seemed upset about it, so it made me feel good being able to make her feel better.”
