Bite Sized: Cafe Brazil
Coffee house puts a Brazilian flair on late and early meals
October 28, 2013
Located at President George Bush Toll Road and Josey Lane, Café Brazil offers a diner feel with fresh breakfast, lunch and dinner dishes. You can’t miss the brightly colored décor and welcoming street appeal. I went on a Saturday night at dinner time with a friend, and as soon as we walked in, we were greeted and seated. Our server was very friendly and attentive. About four other parties were there at the same time as us, and all the empty tables were clean and ready for customers.
Breakfast is served all day and they always have a variety of coffee to choose from. Our food arrived as ordered within 10 minutes. I ordered the migas with fried sweet potatoes and a side of guacamole. I was highly satisfied with my order and my only complaint was that the migas were very spicy, which I was not expecting. Even though the migas were spicy, with enough water refills, I was totally fine. The fried sweet potatoes and guacamole was a big hit for me as both were fresh and tasty. My friend ordered the pancakes with a side order of French toast. The pancakes and French toast were both rich in flavor and hot off the griddle. I couldn’t help but sneak a few bites of French toast for myself since it looked so appealing.
Overall, Café Brazil was great on all levels and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a late night coffee house or diner.
Other Café Brazil locations nearby include Plano (Coit Road), Addison (Beltline Road) and University Park (N. Central Expressway), among others.
