Varsity baseball will play in a practice game at home against Plano East on Feb. 9 at 5 p.m.

With the season starting, coach Stephen Stone said practice games will help the team prepare for tournaments, district games and playoffs.

“Our first real games begin Feb. 22,” Stone said. “But, in these scrimmages we, as coaches, are evaluating our players. Trying to determine the best lineup. Also, we are looking for areas that we need to improve [on like] hitting, fielding and pitching.”
