DeLoach’s arm, bat power Hebron to 8-0 rout
The baseball team will host Lewisville March 24 after taking the first game of the series 8-0 on Tuesday. On the mound for the Hawks was junior Zack DeLoach. Hebron scratched a run across in the top of the first, but DeLoach ran into trouble in the bottom of the inning, working his way into a first and third jam with nobody out. However, with a strikeout and a batter’s interference call, he escaped without allowing a run, and shut out Lewisville for the next five innings. He also turned in a stellar performance from the batter’s box, collecting 3 RBI. The Hawks capitalized on seven stolen bases and five walks to score eight runs with only seven hits.
