Turkey-stuffed biscuits

My family doesn’t celebrate Thanksgiving anymore, it’s just too hard to get my huge family to show up in one place at the correct time. For that reason, I have practically no experience with eating or cooking turkey. I knew I had to have at least one blog post consisting of turkey, so I looked for the easiest possible recipe and, thanks to Pinterest, found one almost immediately.

All you need is:

  • 1 can refrigerated biscuits
  • 8 slices (1/2 oz each) Swiss cheese
  • 8 slices of turkey

I had to make a couple of changes to the recipe, and, if anything, I it made it even simpler. This recipe said to stuff biscuits with honey-ham, but I substituted that with turkey slices. After I placed the raw biscuits onto the greased baking tray, I put one slice each of meat and cheese onto the dough. Next, I folded over the dough so the meat and cheese were covered completely. Lastly, I placed the stuffed biscuits into the oven at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes.

All in all, these biscuits were really good and took a maximum of 20 minutes to make. There are ways to amp up this recipe, maybe by adding stuffing. Biscuits are great on their own but by filling them with Thanksgiving leftovers, they can only get better. Whether you celebrate the holiday or not, you should not say no to these biscuits.
