Mr. Hebron Pageant to be held May 10

Last year’s Mr. Hebron contestants perform a group dance. This year’s Mr. Hebron pageant will be held May 10.

The 14 nominees for the title of ‘Mr. Hebron’ will be narrowed to one winner on May 10. The pageant will be held at 7 p.m. and is open to the public. Tickets are $5 at the door.

All seniors were able to apply through Student Council sponsor Benjamin Stroud. The accepted nominees were taught dances and how to act during a pageant. Rehearsals were held every Monday and Tuesday after school. Mr. Hebron will be decided from a rubric: 40 percent talent, 10 percent opening dance, 25 percent swimsuit section, and 25 percent Q&A. Girls from other schools decide who is named Mr. Hebron. Seniors such as Jack Bedell, Chris Bedell, Nathan Lewis, and Huntter Robinson are among the 14 nominees.

“I do think I have a chance at winning,” Robinson said. “There are a lot of talented individuals that are a part of the show though, so I’m a little nervous.”
