“Wishing Well” to raise funds for the Make-A-Wish club
A permanent “Wishing Well” has been established in the school library in order to raise funds for the Make-A- Wish Foundation. Initiated by the Make-A-Wish club, all the money donated to the well will go to granting a Wish for a student in the district.
In addition to the well, the club volunteers at various Make-A-Wish events and sells bracelets at every home game to raise money and awareness for the foundation. The club’s goal is to raise $2,000 this year and $9,000 over the next four years.
“I think it’s cool … how in movies … we see and hear about Make-A-Wish and to be able to be involved in it yourself at school is something that drew me in,” club member Jennifer Pham said.
