Photo Gallery: Rally to honor Ruth Bader Ginsburg held in Dallas
In honor of Supreme Court justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, a rally was held in front of senator John Cornyn’s Dallas office on Sept. 23. Many organizations gathered to protest against Ginsburg’s spot on the Supreme Court being filled prior to November’s presidential election.
After Ginsburg’s death on Sept. 18, people across the nation protested to support the idea that President Donald Trump should wait to appoint a new nominee to honor Ginsburg’s last wish. Organizations such as March For Our Lives and The Sunrise Movement continue to raise awareness about the situation to help ensure that Ginsburg’s name is carried forward and respected.
“We are here to show standing support for Ruth Bader Ginsburg and the legacy she left behind for the people,” The Sunrise Movement member Christian Camacho said. “Look around you. This is what community looks like.”
