As athletes prepare for life after high school, they decide whether or not they will continue pursuing their sport on a collegiate level. For those who decide to take their sport with them on the next part of their journey, they undergo a recruitment process. This begins with an identification of their talent by scouts or coaches from schools, then getting offers from some of the programs. Once they have decided where they would like to go, they formally commit to an academic and athletic program.
