The boys soccer team played the Tyler Lions on Friday Jan. 8, winning 3-1. The Hawks played in the North Texas Elite Showcase Tournament– losing to Rockwall-Heath on Jan. 7, winning against Tyler and having their last game cancelled due to COVID-19– finishing 2nd in the White Division. The game against Tyler was the team’s first win of the season and the Hawks are set to play McKinney on Thursday.
Sophomore midfielder Jett Thomson’s arm becomes intertwined with a Tyler player’s while fighting to keep the ball. As a freshman, Thomson played on the JV 1 team; this is his first year on varsity.
